Hi, I’m Ben!
I’m a life long techie and outdoor enthusiast living in Langley, BC, Canada.
I make a living as a Cloud Software Architect at Teradici. Teradici is the creator of PCoIP (PC over Internet Protocol). Our tech allows millions of users world wide to remotely access computer workstations as if they are sitting in front of the computer. PCoIP is licensed to many 3rd party partners and OEMs and powers a lot of the remote workstation solutions you may be familiar with (whether you know it or not).
When I’m not at work, I might be working on a home automation project, working out, hiking/backpacking or biking.
My website is part resume/portfolio and part blog to document some of the techy things I do.
Step by step of everything I install or use for software development. VSCODE, Git, Docker, Postman, etc.
I’m switching from a Windows 10 Microsoft Surface laptop to a MacBook Pro with OSX. Here’s why.
I’m rebuilding my website with the static site generator Jekyll. Jekyll is quite popular in part because it’s what powers GitHub pages.
